Rachael's Birthday

I want to take a moment to acknowledge something that’s been weighing heavily on me since Rachael’s birthday celebration. What was meant to be a night of joy, laughter, and celebrating an incredible person turned into something else—because of me.
The truth is, I drank too much. And in that state, I made a speech I had no business making. Instead of adding to the night’s happiness, I became a distraction, taking a moment that wasn’t mine to take. I can only imagine how uncomfortable or embarrassed I made people feel, and for that, I am deeply sorry.
Rachael, you deserved a night where all the attention was on you—the person we were all there to celebrate. Instead, I let my behavior overshadow that. You have always been someone I respect and care about, and it pains me to think that my actions took away from your special day.
To everyone who was there, I also owe an apology. No one comes to a birthday party expecting to witness a scene, and yet, that’s exactly what I created. Whether you were amused, uncomfortable, or simply trying to ignore the situation, I recognize that my actions put a damper on what should have been a great night for all of us.
I take full responsibility. There’s no excuse for what happened. I let the drinks get the better of me, and I let all of you down in the process. Moving forward, I will be more mindful of my actions and my limits—because a night like that should never happen again.
Rachael, I hope I can make it up to you. And to everyone else, I appreciate your understanding and patience. I’ll do better.
Sincerely,
Tim Brown
